It’s been a long time since I’ve thrown down to some good-ass R&B.
GET FUCKIN GROOVY, Y’ALL.
Gosh darndit, they just don’t make em like that anymore.
John Zorn and Mike Patton. nuff said.
This is [an excerpt of] a piece by composer Louis Andriessen that I recently had a chance to play with a group at my school. Essentially, there is a one-line staff with notes that run above and below, and you, as the performer, get to play any notes you’d like, so long as they follow the contour of the written notes.
I share all kinds of shit on here: good-ass music, new artists, sculptors, animators,… All kinds of cool shit that I thought people would really, really enjoy and want to share with other people.
And yet,
The only thing I’ve posted that anyone has any interest in is that STUPID ASS MOTHERFUCKING CAT GIF.
I made this account for a reason; I wanted to keep record of all the art and music I found, in the hopes that I could pass that feeling of ‘finding a new favorite thing’ on to someone else.
Then I got roped into putting gifs and rage comics and shit all over my goddamn dashboard, and now, by the looks of my page, I’m a fucking fourteen-year-old girl.
I’m taking down all the cutesy fucking meme shit, and I’m getting rid of just about everyone, and I want you to get rid of me, too, if that’s how you got to my page. I can only look at so many pictures of bongs, Tyler the Creator, and dumbass motherfucking grainy photos with stupid shit shopped over it. Do you guys realize how boring it is to see that shit all the time?
For anyone that hasn’t seen this yet, PLEASE watch it now. This animation is based on a collaboration between Salvador Dali and Walt Disney, and was recreated in 2003 using the original storyboards. It is breathtaking.
For whatever reason, I have always liked the look of dilapidated warehouses, factories, etc.
